About flemingCo
flemingCo environmental was founded in 1997 by Flemming Hvidbak who has
25 years of experience within the oil spill
industry. He has been active in oil spill clean-up operations, both off- and
on-shore and has carried out numerous oil spill response training courses in
five continents. He has developed several types of oil spill response
equipment, which have
been incorporated into the oil spill contingencies of more than 100
countries. He
has planned, conducted, or participated in tests of oil spill response
equipment for DESMI, for Bitor America Corporation, for LAMOR, at OHMSETT, with GPC/US
Navy/US Coast Guard, and with the Canadian Coast Guard/SAIC. He has
spearheaded the development of the new extreme viscosity oil pumping
techniques, based on annulus ring steam or hot water injection on the inlet
side of the transfer pump. He served as Lead Engineer for the Joint Viscous
Oil Pumping System workshop and test in Houma, Louisiana December 2003. This
was the largest and most costly test ever within the oil spill community and
involved over 100 people from seven nations. Flemming holds a B.S.
in mechanical engineering along with a marine engineer
education.
flemingCo drags in associated independent oil spill response experts from
case to case.
flemingCo environmental is committed to contribute to
the global environment by offering equipment and process design, as well as
engineering and consulting services to the oil spill response industry, the
oil industry and Government.
